The town of Pertuis retains several examples of its medieval past with a 13th century clocktower, 14th century battlements, the ruins of an old castle and a remarkable old church, rebuilt during the 16th century and housing some superb examples of marble religions statues. The modern Pertuis offers cafes and bars, bakeries and restaurants, a large supermarket and of course, being in Provence, lots of vineyards and wineries.

Cadenet is 12kms away and with lots of delightful small shops to explore. The village of Curcuron is 13kms away and, apart from other delights, you'll find the renowned restaurant "La Petite Maison"; make sure you reserve well in advance. The stunning village of Lourmarin is 16kms down the road and is an absolute must to visit. Aix-en-Provence is just 24kms away and offers the buzz of the big city, excellent shopping, great people watching, wonderful architecture and many good restaurants.

Pertuis is an excellent 'base camp' for discovering many of the treasures of the Vaucluse region of Provence.
